What makes an art circle special?

It's hard to believe it's already been a month since we opened our doors! We've officially launched our first Art Circle series, and the response has been absolutely wonderful (see above pic of happy first class finishers).

Perhaps you've been wondering, "What exactly is an art circle?" or "Is this really for me?" Let us share a bit about our vision and what you can expect.

An Art Circle is a unique and nurturing space where we gather as a community to delve into our inner dialogue through writing and paint. Sometimes, we simply paint and observe what emerges on the canvas. Other times, we pose a question to our inner muse and allow the brush to bring forth the answers.

In each class, we introduce a theme or a prompt to gently guide this inner conversation. We then explore a painting technique – a tool you can embrace or set aside as your creative juices begin to flow. After some dedicated "play time," we embark on creating a few oracle cards or an art journal page from our journey. These creations often beautifully reflect the colors we love, the techniques we explored, and the messages we heard during the class.

For those attending a single class, oracle cards are typically what you'll take home. However, if you commit to 4 or more of the 6 classes in a series, you'll receive an art journal to work in throughout your journey! You can choose to do the entire class solely in your journal, with the oracle cards as an extra piece to play with. We always wrap up our time with a moment to share with others, leaving refreshed and rejuvenated, having had time to decompress and truly listen in. 

Every week offers a slightly different experience, so you can enjoy these series repeatedly, or simply drop into a class whenever you feel called. Our deepest hope is to inspire you to cultivate a creative practice rooted in introspection, playful exploration, and vibrant color.

Looking ahead, we're excited to continue our Art Circles classes this fall! And for those ready to dive even deeper into conversation with the self, we'll be launching our first 6-week "Paint Your Inner Goddess" series. This transformative class will culminate in a finished acrylic painting of your inner goddess, rich with layers and magical symbols to guide you forward on your path.
